Meet The Improovy Team

Just like many of our customers, I’m a total newbie to the painting and home improvement industry. Prior to joining Improovy, I assumed that painting was as easy as 1, 2, 3. Unfortunately, I have several personal DIY horror stories to prove how wrong I was, including falling off a ladder and down a flight of stairs (roller in hand), painting and then repainting an entire room due to (very) poor color choice, painting wood trim without prepping it first, and so much more. Next time, I’m going with the experts.

As Head of Marketing, customers are my primary focus. My mission is to drive customer demand by creating experiences our customers love and need. What I enjoy most about my job is the team here at Improovy. They’re incredible. You won’t find a more welcoming, helpful, or knowledgeable group of people anywhere else. Call us, and you’ll see.

I’m a huge book nerd, specifically romance novels (slightly embarrassing to admit)! My goal is to read 1,000 books in my 30’s. I’ve only got 255 books to go and 6 more years to do it, so I’m well ahead of schedule.

I grew up in New York and, after school, spent the last fifteen years in various cities in the trades, managing construction projects, and leading nonprofits. I am excited to watch improvement projects come to life, and be a part of others improving their homes and their lives.

As a father of four, there is no greater thing I teach by example than being a helper to people in whatever capacity I can be, and I’m glad to be a part of a company that does just that.

 My favorite customer experience was working with a customer flustered with fire damage and insurance difficulties. We were able to come in, get them a color specialist, and take the final project off their plate through the completion of a beautiful project. Knowing how much stress was relieved and happiness was created to see their new home was really special.

I grew up in Ukiah a small town in Northern California. I discovered my passion for painting after graduating from Azusa Pacific University in 2019, from there I helped scale and produce a painting business. This experience gave me the insights to manage homeowners’ vision of creating the home that they want.

When I am not working I like to play soccer and travel.

I am lucky to have a father that is just the best handyman around and grew up watching him work. Although he makes it look easy, I am sure many of my very experienced co-workers can testify that this is not the case. I’m definitely glad that I work with such a great team that has the technology and knowledge to help me provide an incredible level of service.

Here at Improovy, I have the pleasure of being an Admin Assistant. I truly believe that Improovy is making a change and the change directly impacts the lives of clients every day. I have the opportunity to interact with every single employee and customer, and properly store and document the projects that we take on. I love seeing the end results of every project. It really excites me to think that each painting job we produce will be enjoyed by clients for years to come!

Outside of work, I like to travel, go on long walks and spend time with loved ones.

Favorite Paint Color: Mellow Yellow (2020-50) by Benjamin Moore

I have been involved in construction management and paint supervision for the last 15 years.

My main responsibility at Improovy is customer satisfaction. As a project coordinator, I strive to build on the rapport that is built with our sales team and add to the customer experience. Outside of that, it’s the small things such as scheduling, ensuring schedule adherence, making sure we’re exceeding expectations, and getting the right guys on the right jobs to show that we truly are the industry standard.

I lend knowledge, and insight as well as build trust to achieve the ultimate experience for our customers. My industry experience and field knowledge allow me to get the right crews on the right jobs, so we maximize our skill sets on each individual project.

Favorite Paint Color: Sea Serpent (SW 7615) by Sherwin-Williams

I am a Chicagoland native and grew my passion for painting at a young age while helping my grandfather paint auto bodies in his garage. After graduating from Aurora University, I pursued a career in painting where I enjoyed making my client’s homes uniquely theirs.

When I am not at my desk you can find me at the beach enjoying the water and time with my family.

While I was born in Yuba City California, I grew up in the Ocean – the US Navy – where I spent six years before moving to Seattle, WA. My parents say I was a finger-painting savant, so I’ve either been painting for three decades or one decade, depending upon how you count it.

Before joining Improovy, I worked at Benjamin Moore for three years and spent nine years bringing operational discipline and painting skills to painting companies across the Seattle area.

While I’m regularly recruited for television voiceover roles, Improovy didn’t only recruit me to record their phone messages – my painting expertise, humor, and attention to detail make me a production manager that homeowners love working with.

When not working, I can be found spending time with my wife, four kids, and our dog.
